Why choose the white runner
The reason this is the wedding runner is straightforward: an aisle reads as an aisle from the moment it is down, and no colour has been introduced that then has to agree with the florals, the drape and the room. It sits alongside greenery and linen instead of arguing with either, and it photographs the way people already expect a wedding to look.
Bright rooms in general suit it. Put a dark runner into a daylight venue, a gallery or a white-box studio and it cuts a heavy band across the floor; white leaves the space light and lets the route register as a change in texture instead. Clean modern launches take it for that same reason — guests get aimed at the display, and the floor never pulls focus off it.
Being pale, it shows wear sooner than the others do, so where guests step on and off is worth a moment of thought. Frame it crisply with chrome posts, or pull it back towards the traditional with gold. Either way the taping is identical, indoors and out.
